AmVets is for ALL veterans and ALL services Silver Valley AmVets Post 2005 WAS an important resource for ALL veterans and their families in northern Idaho's Silver Valley, which surrounds Interstate 90 between Fourth of July Pass and Lookout Pass in Shoshone County. The National AmVets organization has three major objectives, which we implemented at the local level.
  • Veterans Service
    Free counseling and claims assistance for honorably discharged veterans and dependents
  • Legislative Action
    Capitol Hill initiatives to secure earned benefits and services for veterans
  • Quality of Life Programs
    Community services that help families, neighbors and the nation at large

It is a full-season outdoor recreation paradise that contains two ski and recreation areas, many backcountry alpine lakes, rivers and streams, as well as the historic silver mining town of Wallace.
